Certain programs are replicated every year and large scale programs are repeated after a certain span of time because they need meticulous and exhaustive planning as well as perfection.
Special programme for HIV/AIDS in order to bring awareness among the employees, staff and workers was organised. Distribution of condoms and essential interaction by NGO's were also done. As a matter of fact, most of the workers are migratory population who come from different states and are away from their families. NGO's are invited for the "No Tobacco Campaign", Lectures, Instructions and Special skits and activities are also organised in order to encourage the employees, staff and workers to quit alcohol and tobacco consumption. A Free check-up camp was held for those who have consumed tobacco for more than 7 years in order to detect early stages of Cancer.
All this is done with the help of well-known and Qualified Onco Surgeon Doctor Ravindra Raj Sinh (Medical Director of Bharat Cancer Hospital and his team.) Programs like 'Pink Ribbon Campaign' were done on such a large scale that we will have to beat our own record in the coming years to organize a better and bigger programme. For the first time in the History of a social cause as Cancer "PINK RIBBON" and "BREAST CANCER DAY" were celebrated in such a major way. The ESIC building, The Gateway Taj hotel, Prominent Surat Municipal Corporation Islands and buildings, Hotels, hospitals including more than 100 buildings were illuminated pink and that was sponsored, organized and supported by Zenitex. This drive was followed with a Free Mammography Campaign in Surat and Rural Areas.
Free oral cancer check-up was also a mega event conducted in 2012 on the occasion of 'World No Tobacco Day'. There were 2192 people who got screened, a team of 40 computers with cctv's, 50 doctors, 100 nurses and 200 volunteers participated in the biggest Camp of the world a truly historic moment for Surat, Gujarat and India.
Then again in 2013 a breast cancer free check-up camp was replicated, this time in the forests of Dang, wherein a total of 40,000 women were checked up for breast cancer. 5000 sarees were distributed to those women who were reluctant to take the test.
In 2016 it began with a small tree plantation programme wherein 28 trees were planted by visiting students from S&SS Ghandhy College, Surat as to celebrate "World Forest & World Water Day" in March '16.
This feat was replicated and in a much bigger way, wherein, 200 Trees were planted in V.R. Popawala Orphanage on World Environment Day on 5 th June '16. Thus flagging off a throughout the year celebration for "Clean India – Green India" initiative launched by Hearts@work. In the 2nd phase 2500 trees were planted in and around Maroli area in Navsari District of Gujarat, India.
Hence, at Hearts@work the Replicability ratio is not only contagious for us but we also raise the bar for us higher and higher after every event.
